WEEKLY CURRICULUM 10/28/24

Announcements

-All regular adult evening classes will be canceled on Halloween. We will still have our noon adult classes, and we’ll also have an adult BJJ Randori for 2nd stripe white belts and up, and an adult Muay Thai open mat from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Happy Halloween!

-Professor Amal Easton seminar Monday October 28th from 6:00-8:00. The seminar will be in the gi and is $45, or $55 the day of the seminar. He is a great instructor and competitor, don’t miss it!

-We will host a kid and adult in-house BJJ tournament on Thursday, November 14th. The adults will go from 6:00pm-8:30pm or so. The idea is to give students a chance to learn about competing in sport Jiu-Jitsu in a safe and fun environment. Students need to be a 2nd stripe white belt and up to compete, and there is no charge to participate.

Fundamentals A Day Class #11

  • Technique 1 – Footwork   
  • Technique 2 – Slap to low back clinch (focus on body fold)     
  • Technique 3 – Maintain the mount core 4, and taking the back with RNC

Fundamentals B Day Class #12

  • Technique 1 – Footwork    
  • Technique 2 – Slap to low back clinch (adding leg trip)    
  • Technique 3 – Attack the mount (armbar & front chokes)

Intermediate Unit 17 week 2

Warmup Drills

  • Movement drill/arm drags
  • De la riva series
  • Side Clinch series

  • Half guard bottom(Gordo series)
