1st Degree Black Belt Herb Brinkman

Professor Herb Brinkman was born and grew up in New Jersey. He started his martial arts training in  Karate and eventually studied Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi after college. Herb holds a PhD in Chemistry from Seton Hall University and works in the pharmaceutical industry. After a successful competitive ultra-marathon career, Herb began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at Easton BJJ in Boulder, CO where Professor McMahon was one of his first instructors. After moving to Fort Collins in 2010, Herb started training at McMahon Training Center and achieved the rank of Black Belt in 2014. He is now a 1st degree Black Belt. When he is not training, Herb enjoys traveling with his family, fly fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
