Announcements

On Saturday, September 30th from 11:30am-1:30pm we are planning on holding an adult BJJ & Muay Thai training day. These events are a great time to get everyone together and do some good training, and belt promotions. All other adult classes will be canceled for the day. After the training day we are going to do a school BBQ from 3:00-6:00 over at Rolland moore park. 

Adult BJJ Fundamentals A Day Class #21

  • Technique 1 – Front rolls     
  • Technique 2 – Double leg take down       
  • Technique 3 – Escape side control (using the frame to guard)

Fundamentals B Day Class #22

  • Technique 1 – Back rolls      
  • Technique 2 – Double leg take down set ups (defending against haymaker punch and using the jab if time)          
  • Technique 3 – Escape side control (using the pummel to the back)

 Intermediate Unit 9 week 1

Movement drill, arm drags, open guard

Drills- split the middle (knee slice)

Standing– Guard Pull

Ground- Front choke/arm bar or head and arm

The importance of academy etiquette – Some of us have been to martial arts schools that don’t adhere to academy etiquette.  The mat is dirty, students are walking around with their shirts off, and there is little respect for each
