Brannan Davis

1st Degree Black Belt

Professor Brannan is a Palisade, Colorado native who has been practicing jiu-jitsu for 16 years and received his BJJ black belt in 2022. He can be found teaching the early morning adult Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes. He always found himself drawn to martial arts, and started his journey with Taekwondo when he was six years old. He then pursued karate and switched to BJJ later on. Professor Brannan fell in love with the sport because of its versatility and ability to teach people so many different skills. BJJ has challenged him to improve in problem-solving, competition, and gives him a safe and productive way to work out aggression and exercise in a way that builds real-world skills. The friendships jiu-jitsu has given him have also made the sport enjoyable and sustainable over the years. When he is not at the academy, he can be found hitting the slopes with his snowboard, but he also loves other activities such as camping, mountain biking, playing Fortnite, gardening, and most importantly, being a father to his favorite twin humans.
