Rebecca Moore

Black Belt

Professor Rebecca went to her first BJJ class in November 2014 with no idea what to expect. At the time, her 5-year-old daughter wanted to be a ninja. Rebecca looked at several martial arts schools in Fort Collins and liked how BJJ would work for her daughter. She signed herself up too, and she hasn’t stopped since!

Her initial goal was to set a good example and get some exercise, but now she does it because it’s just plain fun. Rebecca grew up in the East and works for the Federal government. She also has a PhD in economics from the University of Wisconsin.

She was awarded her BJJ black belt in 2025 and also has a yellow shirt in our Muay Thai program. When she’s not teaching our women’s BJJ classes or at work, she likes to travel to new places, bake, and solve puzzles.
